ANÁLISE SINÓTICA DE UM EVENTO DE TEMPESTADE SEVERA NA AMAZÔNIA LEGAL EM MARÇO DE 2023
Resumo
Eventos meteorológicos extremos, como tempestades severas, têm se tornado mais frequentes e intensos na Amazônia Legal. Este estudo analisa os padrões atmosféricos sinóticos associados a uma tempestade severa ocorrida em Rondônia, entre 19 e 22 de março de 2023. O evento esteve relacionado a um ambiente convectivo intenso, que resultou em elevados acumulados de precipitação e impactos socioambientais significativos. A pesquisa busca compreender a dinâmica atmosférica que favoreceu a intensificação do fenômeno, contribuindo para o aprimoramento das previsões e da resposta a eventos extremos na região. A metodologia integrou dados de reanálise ERA5, imagens do satélite GOES-16 e estimativas de chuva do MERGE. Os resultados mostraram que a combinação entre circulação ciclônica em baixos e médios níveis, escoamento anticiclônico em altos níveis e intenso transporte de umidade da Amazônia central e do Atlântico favoreceu a ocorrência de precipitação extrema, mesmo sob instabilidade termodinâmica moderada. Os impactos observados — como alagamentos, interrupções em rodovias e danos materiais — evidenciam a vulnerabilidade das áreas urbanas e rurais diante de eventos meteorológicos intensos. O estudo reforça a importância da integração de múltiplas fontes de dados para aprimorar o monitoramento e as previsões de curto prazo na Amazônia Legal.
