LUIZ MENDES E OS HINOS: NOTAS DE UMA (VOZ) POÉTICA DAIMISTA AMAZÔNICA

Resumo

O presente artigo procura fazer soar notas da pesquisa realizada no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Letras: Linguagem e Identidade da Universidade Federal do Acre. Adotando como referenciais teórico-metodológicos a História Oral, os Estudos Culturais, a Poética da Diversidade e a Poesia Oral, objetivou-se revisitar aspectos da cultura daimista amazônica conforme vivida, lembrada, narrada, cantada por Luiz Mendes, o orador do Mestre Irineu. O foco foi ajustado para o diálogo com as memórias, saberes e fazeres da voz poética/poética da voz do ancião, relacionados aos hinos daimistas. Foi possível constatar que tais hinos e narrativas se inserem em e trazem à tona experiências de êxtases místicos e cotidianas; se desdobrando em performances rituais coletivas os hinos constituem a base da escola oral daimista amazônica; doutrina musical das diásporas, expressão de uma poética da diversidade.

LUIZ MENDES AND THE HYMNS: NOTES FROM AN AMAZONIAN DAIMIST POETIC (VOICE)

Abstract

This article seeks to sound notes from the research carried out in the Postgraduate Program in Letters: Language and Identity at the Federal University of Acre. Adopting Oral History, Cultural Studies, the Poetics of Diversity and Oral Poetry as theoretical and methodological references, the aim was to revisit aspects of Amazonian daimista culture as lived, remembered, narrated and sung by Luiz Mendes, Mestre Irineu's orator. The focus was adjusted to the dialog with the memories, knowledge and actions of the poetic/poetic voice of the elder, related to the Daimista hymns. It was possible to see that these hymns and narratives are part of and bring out experiences of mystical and everyday ecstasies; unfolding in collective ritual performances, the hymns form the basis of the Amazonian daimist oral school; musical doctrine of the diasporas, expression of a poetics of diversity.
