A INTERSEÇÃO DAS ARTES GRÁFICAS E OS MATERIAIS DA EXPRESSIVIDADE NORDESTINA PARA REIMAGINAR O NORDESTE

Resumo

Este artigo explora a reimaginação das representações culturais do Nordeste brasileiro através das artes gráficas, integrando materiais regionais e técnicas tradicionais como gravura em couro, tecido e argila. Com base nas teorias de Durval Muniz e Hans Belting, o estudo objetiva questionar narrativas estereotipadas e propor novas abordagens imagéticas que celebrem a diversidade cultural da região. Metodologicamente, a pesquisa combina uma análise crítica das representações existentes com práticas artísticas que ressignificam os materiais locais. Os resultados demonstram que a interseção entre teoria e prática artística promove uma revalorização cultural, contribuindo para o entendimento da identidade nordestina em diálogo com questões contemporâneas. Conclui-se que a arte pode funcionar como um instrumento de resistência e inovação, oferecendo perspectivas mais ricas e diversas sobre o Nordeste.

THE INTERSECTION OF GRAPHIC ARTS AND THE EXPRESSIVE MATERIALS OF NORTHEASTERN CULTURE TO REIMAGINE THE NORTHEAST

Abstract

This article explores the reimagination of cultural representations of the Brazilian Northeast through graphic arts, integrating regional materials and traditional techniques such as engraving on leather, fabric, and clay. Based on the theories of Durval Muniz and Hans Belting, the study aims to question stereotypical narratives and propose new imagetic approaches that celebrate the region's cultural diversity. Methodologically, the research combines a critical analysis of existing representations with artistic practices that reframe local materials. The results demonstrate that the intersection between theory and artistic practice promotes cultural revaluation, contributing to the understanding of Northeastern identity in dialogue with contemporary issues. It concludes that art can serve as an instrument of resistance and innovation, offering richer and more diverse perspectives on the Northeast.
