PAISAGENS E TERRITÓRIOS DO ESPERANÇAR DEVIRES PÓS-HUMANOS E A FOTOGRAFIA IN-GAME NO JOGO STRAY

Resumo

A urgência de conceber mundos possíveis em tempos de catástrofe exige um gesto estético e político que recuse a resignação: o esperançar. Movido por essa força, este ensaio propõe uma travessia pelas paisagens pós-humanas e territórios multiespécies do jogo Stray (2022). Ao encarnar um gato de rua em uma cidade esvaziada de humanos, desestabilizamos nosso próprio modo de habitar o espaço. O texto adota a escrita da experiência e a fotografia in-game como prática emancipada. Perpassado pelos devires animal e máquina, o contato com o espaço virtual mobiliza a deslegenda para rasurar a narrativa programada, convertendo a captura de imagens em um exercício tátil de fabulação. Ao estabelecer uma cartografia de sobrevivências, o ensaio aciona uma geo-grafia que acolhe a vitalidade dos restos, partilhando gestos poéticos que convidam à imaginação de novas coexistências nos escombros do presente.

LANDSCAPES AND TERRITORIES OF ESPERANÇAR POST-HUMAN BECOMINGS AND IN-GAME PHOTOGRAPHY IN STRAY

Abstract

The urgency to conceive possible worlds in times of catastrophe demands an aesthetic and political gesture that refuses resignation: esperançar. Driven by this affective drive, this essay proposes a passage through the posthuman landscapes and multispecies territories of the game Stray (2022). By embodying a stray cat in a city emptied of humans, we destabilize our own way of inhabiting space. The text adopts experiential writing and in-game photography as an emancipated practice. Entangled with animal and machine becomings, the contact with the virtual space mobilizes un-captioning to deterritorialize the programmed narrative, converting image capture into a tactile exercise of fabulation. By establishing a cartography of survivals, the essay activates a geo-graphy that embraces the vitality of the remains, sharing poetic gestures that invite the imagination of new coexistences within the ruins of the present.
