QUIMERAS: A CONSTRUÇÃO DO FANTÁSTICO NAS FERIDAS DO ANTROPOCENO

Resumo

Este artigo aborda a criação da série escultórica Quimeras, composta por cinco peças cerâmicas que exploram formas híbridas entre o real e o imaginário, inspiradas em seres marinhos e criaturas propõem uma reflexão sensível sobre o impacto humano no Antropoceno. Fundamentado nos processos experimentais com a argila, o trabalho se desdobra a partir da relação com a matéria, representando formas híbridas inspiradas na vida marinha e estruturas da natureza. As peças evocam resiliência, transmutação e impermanência, ao mesmo tempo em que retratam uma crítica às ações humanas, representando as transfigurações e as cicatrizes deixadas na biosfera. A criação artística é tratada como prática reflexiva, conectando arte, biologia e crítica ecológica. As contribuições teóricas de Bonneuil e Fressoz (2023) e Ailton Krenak (2019) ampliam o debate entre arte, natureza e ética. A série Quimeras convida o espectador a imaginar outros mundos possíveis e a repensar a relação entre humanidade e Terra.

QUIMERAS: THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE FANTASTIC IN THE WOUNDS OF THE ANTHROPOCENE

Abstract

This article discusses the creation of the sculptural series Quimeras, composed of five ceramic pieces that explore hybrid forms between the real and the imaginary, inspired by marine beings and fictional creatures that propose a sensitive reflection on human impact in the Anthropocene. Grounded in experimental processes with clay, the work unfolds through a relationship with the material, representing hybrid forms inspired by marine life and natural structures. The pieces evoke resilience, transmutation, and impermanence, while also offering a critique of human actions by portraying the transfigurations and scars left on the biosphere. Artistic creation is approached as a reflective practice, connecting art, biology, and ecological critique. The theoretical contributions of Bonneuil and Fressoz (2023), as well as Ailton Krenak (2019), expand the dialogue between art, nature, and ethics. The Chimeras series invites the viewer to imagine other possible worlds and to rethink the relationship between humanity and Earth.
