Focus and Scope
Narrares Journal is aimed at researchers who wish to publish the results of their academic research.
We also publish your artistic production, as we have the “Poetic Narratives” section, to publish creative writing exercises, in the form of a poem, short story, chronicle, or video art; photographs; Paintings; Presentations; Videos in small formats and songs or music videos. All are linked to the themes of Resistance Narrative Studies.
We will also publish articles from research carried out by students, co-authored with PhD professors, in the “Scientific Initiation” session.
There is space in the “Reviews” section for academic or literary books.
In the “TraduNarrares” session, translations of important academic or literary texts for Resistance Narrative Studies will be published.
We also have the interview session, which highlights personalities, artists, writers, and cultural producers who develop their work in conjunction with resistance agendas.

Articles
Scientific Articles received in Continuous Flow result from bibliographical research, literature reviews, field research, dissemination of results from projects linked to resistance studies.

Scientific Initiation
Publication of Articles by Scientific Initiation students together with advisors, results of their projects PIBIC, PIBID, PIBEX among others. The work of students from the Narrares research network is privileged, but proposals from other IC students are accepted.

Interviews
Interviews with literary authors, researchers, authorities, activists and artists, who develop actions that reveal their resistance actions.

Tematic Dossier
Proposals for thematic dossiers must be presented in the form of a summary of up to 200 words, proposed by at least two professors from different HEIs, preferably from different countries, related to the Studies of Narratives of Resistance, in various fields of knowledge. The summary must be accompanied by a presentation of the organizers' experience with the theme. It is important to inform whether the thematic issue will be the result of meetings, congresses, working groups or similar.

Peer Review Process
Editorial Team: will evaluate the content and form of the submitted works; If the article fails to meet the standards, it will be returned to the author for review, adaptation, and submission at a future opportunity;
The Editorial Board and editorial team may reject the article if its theme, language or presentation are outside the scope of the magazine.
The following will not be published: works that present problems in content, form, and language that impair their understanding.
Experience reports and literature reviews must present an in-depth analysis of the topic.
A summary or parts of a dissertation/thesis outside the format of a scientific article, as well as a research project or report will not be published.
The evaluation is carried out by members of the Editorial Board who research the thematic area of the article.
The referees will indicate whether the article is relevant for publication, and may not indicate it or recommend it for publication with revision suggestions.
They will be evaluated by an ad hoc reviewer when there is a need for an expert external to the Editorial Board;
Articles returned to the authors with revision suggestions may be submitted later;
Articles accepted for publication will be subject to textual review;
Authors of articles accepted for publication will receive an acceptance email/letter;
Work not accepted for publication will be returned to the author;
Submitted articles must comply with the ethical and legal standards of their field of research.
The authors will include a footnote with information about legal authorizations when the research that resulted in the articles involves human beings, or was carried out in areas of legal reserves, indigenous people, or archaeological heritage, and they are responsible for the information.
The author of articles with photographs produced by third parties must send authorization for their publication. The publication of articles is subject to the sending of an attestation/declaration and receipt by the editorial team.
Grammatical revision is the sole responsibility of the authors, with the magazine not accepting revisions and not accepting the publication of texts that have not been adequately revised.
Publication Frequency
Narrares Journal, published twice a year, free of charge, aims to be a space for hosting scientific articles, in a continuous flow, with double-blind evaluation, with themes linked to various resistance movements, be they political, artistic and/or or cultural.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. Narrares Journal
Narrares Journal is a free, biannual journal published by the Research Group Studies of Narratives of Resistance (NARRARES), at the Federal University of Pará, linked to the Postgraduate Program in Letters (PPGL), at the Institute of Letters and Communication (ILC). Aims to be a space for hosting scientific articles, in a continuous flow, with double-blind evaluation, with themes linked to various resistance movements, whether of a political, artistic, and/or cultural nature. With an important concern to emerge contemporary debates and reflect on various exceptional historical experiences.
Ethics statement
The magazine of the research group Studies of Narratives of Resistance (Narrares), linked to the Postgraduate Program in Letters (PPGL), at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), excels in good publishing practices, for ethical and follower conduct of the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE, available at: http://publicationethics.org/resources/guidelines), The following items are part of this statement:

a) Responsibility of authors and authors
– Authors are solely responsible for the content of their articles, as well as for the use of images, videos, tables, and any other complementary elements available in their articles.
– Narrares Journal, in return for publishing articles periodically and free of charge, invites authors to work free of charge in the peer review process for this journal, in future editions. These are in agreement with their role as evaluators to maintain good peer review practices.
– The contribution, now presented by authors, is significant for the research disclosed in their article, when applicable.
– Retractions and corrections are required from authors, when any errors identified in the articles appear, which will be published by Revista Narrares, immediately identifying the mistakes.
– The originality of the work must be ensured by the authors, they must not submit the same text to more than one magazine.
– When the article contains research data that present real risks for participants, it is mandatory to present an opinion from the Ethics Committee of the researcher's institution, included in complementary documents.
b) Assessment process
– Assessments are carried out by blind peers, being sent to researchers from institutions other than those of the author.
– Two evaluations are carried out, if one of the evaluators refuses, the text is sent for a third test. If there is a second refusal, the text is returned to the author with the refusal. If there are two positive evaluations or one positive and one conditional, the text is approved. When you present two evaluations under condition, the text is returned for adjustment and new submission.
– Opinions must be objective to allow the improvement of the research and the evaluated text.
– We require a declaration of conflict of interest, including between evaluators, who declare this in writing in the journal system, when invited for an evaluation.
– In the evaluation process, reviewers must draw attention to cases of texts or excerpts that have already been published and that lack proper citation.
– Confidentiality is a principle that Revista Narrares applies to all articles submitted and evaluated.
– Narrares Journal draws the attention of authors that any form of plagiarism is unacceptable and will not be published if any type of plagiarism is identified; It will be removed from the air, with appropriate retractions if plagiarism is confirmed after publication in the magazine.
– It is up to the editors of Narrares Journal to make the final decision on whether or not to publish an article. We strive for the academic quality of the article, therefore, we do not require publication based on the author's title. We approve the article as long as it meets the criteria established here, with a double-blind peer review.
– The use, by the editorial board of Narrares Journal, of information related to the articles under evaluation without the explicit consent of authors is prohibited.
– Any ethical questions must be addressed to the editors of Narrares Journal, who are available to answer any ethical question, linked to calls, submissions or publications made.
c) Publication Ethics
– We seek to prevent any practices of misconduct in academic publishing within the journal, being available and committed to combating misconduct in scientific research.
– We investigate any allegations of misconduct in research, observed throughout the editorial process of Narrares Journal. Taking appropriate deliberations based on the principle of the right to a broad and universal response.
– In the name of ethics and respect for the readers of Narrares Journal, when necessary and with the knowledge of authors, the magazine will publish notes, corrections, clarifications, right of reply, retractions, and apologies.
d) Copyright
– Narrares Journal is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International.
e) Universal access
– All articles in full content are free of charge and available in their entirety to any reader without the need for registration or password.
f) Other principles
– We provide all information about the ownership, authorship rights, and/or management of the magazine, clearly indicated on the magazine’s website.
– Narrares Journal is a free periodical published twice a year and with open access.
– Narrares Journal does not charge any type of submission, evaluation, or publication fee.
