Exercício físico e ansiedade matemática: perspectivas para educação matemática a partir das neurociências

Resumo

Neste artigo analisamos os efeitos do exercício físico no cérebro, no desempenho cognitivo/escolar e saúde mental a partir da perspectiva das Neurociências, relacionando com o estado emocional da Ansiedade Matemática (AM). O estado da arte aponta que o exercício físico traz benefícios estruturais e funcionais ao sistema nervoso, melhora a aptidão cardiorrespiratória, o desempenho cognitivo e promove modulação da ansiedade. Essas evidências dão suporte para a formulação de um modelo que postula os benefícios da prática do exercício físico no controle da ansiedade matemática nas populações jovens em idade escolar. Nossas discussões caminham na perspectiva de fomentar a implementação, a curto e médio prazos, de estratégias metodológicas viáveis ao sistema educacional para a melhoria da saúde física, cognitiva e do desempenho matemático dos estudantes
