EDUCAÇÃO PARA RELAÇÕES ÉTNICO-RACIAIS: APLICABILIDADE DA LEI 11.645/2008 NAS COMUNIDADES QUILOMBOLAS DE ABAETETUBA

Abstract

Este trabalho visa apresentar o relato de experiência do projeto de extensão PIBIBEX (2017-2019), intitulado “Educação para relações étnico-raciais: Aplicabilidade da lei 11.645/2008 nas comunidades quilombolas de Abaetetuba”, que buscou problematizar a perspectiva da história eurocêntrica presente nos livros didáticos e nos currículos das escolas pesquisadas, além de construir alternativas para se trabalhar as temáticas africana, afro-brasileira e indígena. Nesse sentido, o objetivo principal do projeto foi as formações para professores, alunos e gestores das escolas Esmerina Bou Habib, que fica localizada na zona urbana, na cidade de Abaetetuba, e a instituição de ensino Valdecir Santana, Vila Caeté, zona rural do referido município. O projeto que foi concluído em maio de 2019 evidenciou a importância da formação de professores sobre as Leis 10.639/2003 e 11.645/2008 como ferramentas essenciais no combate ao racismo e à intolerância cultural e religiosa sobre os povos afro-brasileiros e indígenas no ambiente escolar.

EDUCATION FOR ETHNIC-RACIAL RELATIONS: APPLICABILITY OF LAW 11,645 / 2008 IN THE QUILOMBOLAS COMMUNITIES OF ABAETETUBA

This work aims to present the experience report of the PIBIBEX extension project (2017-2019), entitled “Education for ethnic-racial relations: Applicability of law 11.645/2008 in the quilombola communities of Abaetetuba”, that sought to problematize the perspective of Eurocentric history present in the textbooks and curricula of the researched schools, in addition to building alternatives for working with african, afro-brazilian and indigenous themes. In this sense, the main objective of the project was the training for teachers, students and school managers Esmerina Bou Habib, which is located in the urban area in the city of Abaetetuba, and the educational institution Valdecir Santana, Vila Caeté, rural area of that municipality. The project, which was completed in may 2019, highlighted the importance of teacher training on Laws 10.639/2003 and 11.645/2008 as essential tools to combat racism and cultural and religious intolerance about afro-brazilian and indigenous peoples in the school environment.
